It is true that a small bathroom can feel comfy and warm but it can also feel claustrophobic and depressing. And no matter what decorating style, it will always be a small bathroom.

But you can transform your small bathroom into a comfy retreat by following some of these tips to make your small bathroom look and feel larger even if it stays the same size.

  1. Use pale, soft color schemes to give the illusion of more space. Avoid strong, exciting colors. And choose whites pastel tones, and neutrals for backgrounds. Cool colors give the feeling of serenity.
  2. To open up the look of your bathroom, you can add extra lighting. You can install recessed can lighting into the ceiling, and wall sconce to add warmth.
  3. Replace the vanity cabinet with a pedestal sink to make your bathroom feel more open
  4. Remove decorative accessories, wall shelves, or hanging racks on the wall that make it look smaller. This provides the illusion of expanding your small space.
